OUR STAFF
S.N. Muire na nGael is a co-educational primary school. We have 42 staff in the school. Our School Principal Martina Rafferty assisted by Deputy Principal Fiona Gray lead a team of 24 classroom teachers, 6 learning support/resource teachers, 1 EAL ( English as an additional language) teacher, and 5 SNAs (Special Needs Assistants). Our 2 secretaries, Lucy and Anne, are always busy in the school office and our caretaker and cleaning staff ensure our school is a clean and attractive place for our pupils, staff and visitors.
OUR SCHOOL
We are very proud of our school. Our 11 classroom extension, together with a new assembly hall and new offices are now completed. Our existing school comprising of 16 classrooms, a P.E. hall and a computer suite has also been refurbished and all our classes have settled into this bright, spacious and colourful learning environment. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, computer station and a visualiser. Our next project is the setting up of a new state of the art library which we hope to open up later this year. This project is being kindly undertaken by our Parents & Friends Committee.
We hope to arrange an official school opening and an Open Day in March 2012 when our parents and local community can visit our beautiful new school.
